Senator Rick Scott was present at the swearing-in ceremony for Florida's new U.S. Senator, Ashley Moody. This event follows Marco Rubio's appointment as Secretary of State.

In his remarks, Senator Scott expressed enthusiasm about Moody joining him in representing Florida. He stated, "I’m proud to welcome Senator Ashley Moody as my new colleague from Florida. Floridians are lucky to have a fighter like Senator Moody representing their best interests." He further praised her previous work as Attorney General, saying, "Senator Moody has done an incredible job fighting for Floridians and keeping our communities safe as Attorney General, and I’m confident she will build on that success in the United States Senate."

Scott also mentioned his anticipation of collaborating with Moody to improve outcomes for Florida families and fulfill the agenda set by President Trump: "I look forward to working closely with her to make Washington work better for Florida families and deliver on President Trump’s mandate for the American people."
