City of Atlantic Beach issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
Mayor Ellen has been re-elected to the Florida League of Mayors’ Board of Directors. The board is comprised of 21 mayors from across the state of Florida. It provides mayors a forum to jointly discuss issues faced by their municipalities and share ideas to achieve solutions and best practices for their respective cities.
The Florida League of Mayors serves as a complement to the Florida League of Cities. It has been the official nonpartisan organization representing Florida mayors since 2005 and provides a platform for Florida mayors to advocate before Florida Legislature and speak on issues of prominence for their citizens.
