John Rutherford, currently representing Florida’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, shared his thoughts through a series of posts over three consecutive days in April 2025. Known for his impactful presence in public office since replacing Ander Crenshaw in 2017, Rutherford took to social media to address various events and sentiments.

On April 17, 2025, Rutherford expressed concern for the situation at Florida State University, stating, "I am praying for the safety of all students and faculty at FSU, as well as the first responders on the scene. My thoughts and prayers are with those injured as we learn more." His message conveyed support for those affected by the unspecified incident.

On the following day, April 18, 2025, he extended his greetings to those observing a religious event by sharing, "Wishing a blessed Good Friday to those around the world and at home observing this sacred day. May we thank Jesus, who by His life, death, and resurrection, earned for us the reward of eternal life." This message resonated with his constituents and those partaking in the day's observance.

A day later, on April 19, 2025, Rutherford highlighted a significant moment in American history, stating, "Today, we commemorate the first battles of the American Revolution at Lexington, Concord, and Menotomy. We are forever grateful for our American forefathers who fought for freedom over tyranny." His acknowledgment of these historic events underscored his appreciation for the nation’s founding struggles.
