The Aquatics Team is recruiting lifeguards and pool managers for the 2025 summer pool season. Lifeguard positions offer a starting salary of $15.00 per hour, while pool managers earn $16.50 per hour. The team encourages candidates to contribute to the community while earning an income.

Candidates are required to complete three skills: a 200-yard swim, a two-minute water tread without using hands, and retrieving a 10-pound brick from the bottom of a diving well. These roles are seen as opportunities to build leadership, responsibility, and teamwork skills.

Applicants need to be at least 15 years old. Training is available at no cost, and sessions are currently in progress. Interested applicants can learn more about training dates, locations, and any updates by visiting the provided website or contacting the designated phone numbers and email.

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS), which oversees these roles, offers diverse recreation activities and serves approximately one million residents in Duval County. PRCS maintains over 400 parks and recreational spaces and provides a range of social and community services.
