Today, Senator Rick Scott issued a statement on the passing of Lincoln Díaz-Balart. In his statement, Senator Scott expressed deep sorrow and offered condolences to the Díaz-Balart family.

Senator Rick Scott said, “Ann and I are heartbroken to learn of the passing of our good friend, Lincoln Díaz-Balart and send our deepest condolences and prayers to Cristina, Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart and the entire Díaz-Balart family." He emphasized the impact that Lincoln Díaz-Balart had on many lives: "Lincoln made a profound impact on the lives of so many Floridians and Americans, including myself – never failing to put a smile on my face and encouraged me to continue our fight for freedom and democracy around the world."
