Mayor Donna Deegan of Jacksonville will host a series of budget town halls in the coming months. These events aim to engage the community and discuss the city's financial plans. The town halls are scheduled at various locations across Jacksonville, providing residents multiple opportunities to participate.
The first meeting is set for Monday, January 27th, at the Legends Center on Soutel Drive from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Subsequent meetings will take place on Tuesday, February 4th, at Ed White High School; Wednesday, February 5th, during the Beaches Watch Meeting at Beaches Branch Library; Tuesday, February 18th, at Atlantic Coast High School; Tuesday, March 4th, at Riverside High School; and finally on Tuesday, March 11th, at First Coast High School. All sessions are planned to start in the evening.
Mayor Deegan encourages local residents to attend these sessions to gain insights into the budgetary process and voice their concerns or suggestions regarding city expenditures.
