Senator Rick Scott has announced his participation in the Senate DOGE Caucus, joining forces with Senator Joni Ernst. The caucus aims to collaborate with the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to address and reduce government waste. This initiative aligns with Senator Scott's ongoing mission to reform Washington and tackle waste, fraud, and abuse.

Senator Scott expressed the urgency for significant reforms to reduce government regulation, citing concerns over national debt and government expansion under Democratic control. He stated, "This is a serious threat to our national security and the American Dream, and I believe DOGE is the answer to fixing it."

Senator Joni Ernst shared her commitment to eliminating government inefficiencies. She noted that her investigations have uncovered significant misuse of funds. "The tables are finally turning, the knives are out, and waste is on the chopping block," she said.

Vivek Ramaswamy, co-leader of DOGE, emphasized their readiness to work with the Senate in reducing governmental size and thanked Senator Ernst for her input.

In addition to Senators Scott and Ernst, other founding members of the Senate DOGE Caucus include Senators John Cornyn (R-Texas), Ted Budd (R-N.C.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), and James Lankford (R-Okla.). They are collaborating with Representatives Aaron Bean (R-Fla.) and Pete Sessions (R-Texas), who co-chair the House DOGE Caucus.

Representative Aaron Bean highlighted the importance of addressing national debt exceeding $36 trillion. He emphasized collaboration with President Trump, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and others to dismantle excessive bureaucracy.

Representative Pete Sessions pointed out past issues with fraud and improper payments totaling over $2.7 trillion since 2003. He affirmed his commitment to working alongside his colleagues in both chambers to ensure efficient government operations.

The formation of this bicameral caucus marks a concerted effort by legislators from both houses to address fiscal challenges facing the nation.
