Senator Rick Scott has collaborated with Senator Jim Risch and 32 other colleagues to propose the Stand with Israel Act. This legislative measure aims to halt U.S. financial support for United Nations (UN) agencies that expel, downgrade, suspend, or limit Israel's participation.

The initiative is supported by Senators Tom Cotton, Chuck Grassley, Bill Cassidy, Dan Sullivan, Steve Daines, Mike Lee, Kevin Cramer, John Barrasso, Pete Ricketts, Eric Schmitt, John Kennedy, Mike Crapo, Roger Wicker, Shelley Moore Capito, Marco Rubio, Joni Ernst, Ron Johnson, Markwayne Mullin, Thom Tillis, Ted Budd, Susan Collins, Tim Scott, Josh Hawley, James Lankford; John Thune; Deb Fischer; Marsha Blackburn; Katie Britt; John Hoeven; Jerry Moran; John Boozman and Roger Marshall. The proposed legislation complements a bipartisan House bill HR 9374 led by Representative Mike Lawler from New York.

Senator Rick Scott expressed concerns about the UN's credibility on human rights issues: “Unfortunately the UN has lost almost all credibility on human rights. They coddle regimes like Iran while allowing the extremists to condemn Israel and it is absurd that U.S. taxpayer dollars are helping fund this dysfunctional organization. The U.S. must stand with Israel and Congress must make that clear by passing this commonsense bill.”

Senator Jim Risch also commented on the matter: “Any attempt to alter Israel’s status at the UN is clearly antisemitic. If UN member states allow the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization to downgrade Israel’s status at the UN the United States must stop supporting the UN system as it would clearly be beyond repair. I am disgusted this outrageous idea has even been discussed and will do all I can to ensure any changes to Israel’s status will come with consequences.”

Reports suggest that there may be an effort by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to lower Israel's standing at the UN following a resolution passed by the General Assembly on May 10th of this year which enhanced PA's status at the United Nations.

In response to these developments Senator Scott previously joined Senator Risch in introducing another piece of legislation known as No Official Palestine Entry (NOPE) Act which seeks updates existing funding prohibitions against entities granting additional privileges or rights specifically towards Palestinians within international bodies such as those found within global organizations like NATO or EU institutions etcetera.

The Stand With Israel Act intends similarly targeting cutting off US contributions directed towards specific branches under broader umbrella governance structures headquartered inside Manhattan boroughs where headquarters reside namely Secretary-General António Guterres' office complex situated alongside East River waterfront property line adjacent FDR Drive thoroughfare running parallel between Williamsburg Bridge connecting Brooklyn neighborhood districts across waterway channel separating two major metropolitan areas lying opposite each other side-by-side geographically speaking topographically oriented due northward directionally facing upwardly toward Hudson Valley region stretching beyond horizon line visible skyline viewable distance far away city limits boundaries
