U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Vice Chairman Marco Rubio (R-FL) visited Israel this week to meet with senior Israeli officials, oversee the U.S. intelligence community, and show support for the country in the face of recent challenges. Rubio's trip follows a direct attack from Iran against Israel.
During his visit, Rubio had a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu where he reiterated his unwavering support for Israel amidst growing threats and attempts to undermine its legitimacy. Rubio also addressed the issue of delegitimization efforts against Israel from various international organizations and radical groups within the United States.
