The City of Jacksonville is gearing up to host its first-ever JaxReady Fest on May 10th and 11th at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. The event, open from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, aims to educate and empower the community to be prepared for any emergency.

"We are excited to launch JaxReady Fest as a platform to educate and empower our community to be prepared for any emergency," said Andre Ayoub, Chief of the Emergency Preparedness Division. "By providing access to valuable resources, expert guidance, and hands-on training, we aim to equip the community with the tools they need to stay safe in the face of any disaster."

The event will feature over sixty partner agencies and experts, offering insights into their vital roles within the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations, explore interactive exhibits showcasing emergency communication technologies and disaster response equipment, and attend informative workshops covering various topics such as severe weather safety, Narcan administration, and home emergency planning.

JaxReady Fest is made possible through the generous support of sponsor JEA, with the encouragement of Mayor Donna Deegan and her staff. Together, they are committed to building a more prepared and resilient community.

"Don't miss this unique opportunity to become JaxReady! Mark your calendars for JaxReady Fest and join us for a day of learning, fun, and preparedness," urged the organizers.

For more information and updates about JaxReady Fest, individuals are encouraged to visit JaxReady.com/Fest or follow the event on social media @JaxReady.
