The City is set to host an open house event for the Metropolitan Park Revitalization project on April 17, 2024, at the Jacksonville Public Library Main Branch Lounge. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the design team responsible for the park's revitalization and provide their input on the project.

According to the announcement, community input is highly valued in shaping the future of Metropolitan Park. "We believe that community input is invaluable in creating a space that reflects the needs and dreams of its users," stated the organizers.

The open house will feature interactive stations where participants can share their feedback and preferences regarding various aspects of the park. "Whether you're passionate about green spaces, recreational facilities, cultural events, or sustainable landscaping, we want to hear what matters most to you," the organizers emphasized.

Metropolitan Park has been a significant part of the community for generations, providing a green oasis in the midst of the bustling city. The revitalization project aims to ensure that the park continues to serve future generations effectively. "Your insights and aspirations for Metropolitan Park will directly influence the design and programming of the revitalization effort," organizers highlighted.

The Metropolitan Park Revitalization Committee, composed of city planners, community leaders, environmental experts, and design professionals, is dedicated to transforming the park into a vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive space for all residents and visitors to enjoy.

The organizers urged community members to participate in shaping the future of Metropolitan Park, emphasizing the importance of their voices in the project. "Your voice is critical in creating a Metropolitan Park that resonates with everyone. Let's come together to make history, crafting a park that stands as a testament to our community's commitment to beauty, functionality, and the environment," they expressed.

The event is scheduled to take place from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Jacksonville Public Library Main Branch Lounge, located at 303 N. Laura St., Jacksonville, FL, 32202.
