WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott joined Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. and their colleagues in a letter to the Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, John Barrasso (R-WY), requesting a member meeting to discuss much-needed reforms to the budget process.

Senator Scott, who has been actively advocating for budget process reforms since his election in 2018, is pushing for changes to address the issue of reckless government spending. He reintroduced the bipartisan No Budget No Pay Act earlier this Congress, aiming to hold members of Congress accountable for passing budget resolutions and appropriations bills in a timely manner.

The letter, also signed by Senators Ernst (R-IA), Lee (R-UT), and Johnson (R-WI), underscores the importance of addressing the broken budget process in Washington. The Senators are seeking to engage in discussions that could lead to significant improvements in the budgeting system.
