Edward Waters College Athletics issued the following announcement on Oct. 26.
Graduate transfer quarterback David Johnson has been selected as the BOXTOROW National Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's 56-19 Homecoming victory over Central State.
The Oak Cliff, Texas native and Tennessee State transfer finished Saturday's action, going 16-of-25 passing for 359 yards and five touchdowns. Johnson also led EWU in rushing with five carries for 48 yards.
Johnson will be highlighted on the nationally syndicated sports talk show FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW w/ Donal Ware which airs on radio stations across the country. A list of radio stations that carry the program can be found here www.boxtorow.com/affiliate-stations.
