3

University of North Florida issued the following announcement on Sept. 28.

The University of North Florida's College of Computing, Engineering, and Construction is now accepting applications for a new Master of Science in Construction Management degree program launching in spring 2022.

“We carefully crafted this degree to meet current regional and global industry demands,” explained Dr. Maged Malek, UNF construction management chair and professor. “We met with employers and collected feedback to create a program that will provide the in-demand skills that our students need to have successful building management and construction careers.”

Graduates of the program will find employment opportunities in the many disciplines of construction management including single family residential, multi-family residential, heavy civil, commercial, and industrial construction. Additionally, students in the program will benefit from UNF’s construction labs, a variety of software and equipment for student use, as well as UNF's strong partnerships with the Jacksonville construction industry.

The Master of Science in Construction Management consists of 30 credit hours. To fulfill the needs of a diverse student body, three tracks were created: a course-work option, a thesis option, and an executive thesis option.

Applications are now being accepted; apply online. For more information, visit the website or email the UNF Department of Construction Management at construction@unf.edu.
