University of North Florida issued the following announcement on Aug. 30.
Nursing students from UNF’s Brooks College of Health were on hand at Mayor Curry’s Community-Based Crime Reduction Program and The New Town Success Zone this weekend to assist with health screenings, vaccinations, health literacy, grocery giveaways and more community outreach efforts.
Programs like this show how UNF’s School of Nursing programs have a community-based, population-focused curriculum that corresponds to current challenges and regional needs in healthcare.
