Fair Housing Expo to address housing issues in Jacksonville on April 26

The Jacksonville Human Rights Commission is set to organize its annual housing expo on April 26, 2025, at the Downtown Main Library. The event, themed ‘Housing is a Human Right,’ will start at 9:30 a.m.

The event will feature plenary panel sessions where local housing experts will discuss challenges, solutions, and resources relevant to attendees. Lunch will be provided. Afternoon workshops will highlight ongoing efforts in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Jacksonville Human Rights Commission has partnered with various organizations for this event. Among these are LISC Jacksonville, LIFT Jax, Sulzbacher, Changing Homelessness, Ability Housing, Habitat for Humanity, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, The Tenants Union, UNF Jax Rental Housing Project, Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, and Wealth Watchers.

The goal of the expo is to pinpoint housing issues and share useful information and strategies with participants. As stated in the announcement, "Housing is a Human Right.”

Registration for the Fair Housing Expo 2025 is required and can be done through Eventbrite. Attendees are encouraged to register and participate in the discussions and workshops to gain insights into the housing industry.
