Senator Rick Scott has been recognized by the Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL) as one of the top-10 most effective Republican Senators for the 118th Congress. He was also acknowledged as one of the most effective first-term Senators. The recognition is based on the legislation introduced by members of Congress, the content of the bills, and their progress through the legislative process.

Senator Scott recently began his second term and is aiming to build on his previous achievements in his ongoing efforts for American families. Reflecting on his work, Senator Scott expressed his commitment to his constituents, saying, “I made a promise to the families in my state that I will fight hard every day to make Washington work better for them, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish so far. I have the greatest job in the world representing the people of Florida and fighting to ensure every American can live the American dream, just like I did. In the 119th Congress, I’ll be working closely with President Trump and my colleagues in the House and Senate to put Americans first, turn our nation’s economy around and drive down inflation, keep families across the nation safe, and Make America Great Again. There’s always more to accomplish to make life better for Florida families – let’s get to work!”

The Center for Effective Lawmaking praised Senator Scott, noting, "Our analysis found that Senator Scott ranked as one of the most effective Republican Senators in the last Congress, as well as one of the most effective freshmen in the entire Senate. We congratulate the Senator for his hard work and setting an example for promoting the importance of effective lawmaking."
