December's Art Walk is set to take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, featuring a holiday-themed program at James Weldon Johnson Park. The event is sponsored by Jacksonville Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
Rance Adams from River City Live on WJXT will host the program. Highlights include the City of Jacksonville’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with Mayor Donna Deegan and appearances by local Olympic athletes Caeleb Dressel, Ryan Murphy, and Poe Pinson. Performances are scheduled from The Scott Jones School of Dance, CAP Kids, The Community Nutcracker, and SK8hers INC.
Snyder Memorial Church will also be part of the festivities, transformed into a Winter Wonderland. Visitors can enjoy photo opportunities with Santa & Mrs. Claus and performances by Taryn “Love Reigns” Wharwood and Ace Winn.
The event will run from 5-9 pm in Downtown Jacksonville at James Weldon Johnson Park and Snyder Memorial Church. Mayor Donna Deegan is scheduled to light the tree at 6:15 pm.
