U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) recently joined The Faulkner Focus to discuss various pressing issues affecting the nation. In the interview, Rubio shared his insights on "Bidenflation," the impact of the Biden Administration's spending on inflation, the importance of domestic manufacturing, and the administration's border policies.
Rubio expressed his concerns about inflation, stating, "It’s very misleading when [President Biden] says [inflation] used to be at nine percent. This is compounding. It’s not like it went down from nine to three. This is building month after month." He highlighted the increasing production costs and the effects of inflation on the American people.
Regarding the Biden Administration's spending, Rubio pointed out, "The Biden Administration spent over two trillion dollars of government money. Some of it hasn’t even been spent yet. That’s more money pumped into the economy." He emphasized the impact of government spending and regulations on production costs.
Rubio also stressed the importance of domestic manufacturing for the American economy, stating, "We have to get back to being a country that can make things down the supply chain because otherwise, we become very vulnerable to any sort of disruption."
In discussing the border policies, Rubio criticized President Biden for repealing Trump's executive orders, stating, "There were Trump executive orders that were in place on the day he took over. He repealed them, in addition to announcing he wouldn’t be deporting anybody." He highlighted the challenges the administration faces in addressing the border situation and the implications of reinstating certain measures.
