The U.S. House of Representatives voted 352-65 to pass legislation aimed at protecting Americans from apps controlled by foreign adversaries. The Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Marco Rubio (R-FL), and the committee's Chairman, Mark Warner (D-VA), issued a statement applauding the House and urging the Senate to take action on the matter.

"We are united in our concern about the threat posed by TikTok to our national security. TikTok is a platform with enormous power to influence and divide Americans and whose parent company, ByteDance, remains legally obligated to comply with the orders of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)," expressed Marco Rubio.

Mark Warner added, "We are encouraged by today's strong bipartisan vote in the House of Representatives and look forward to working together to ensure that this bill is passed by the Senate and becomes law."
