U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) recently appeared on The Hugh Hewitt Show to discuss a range of topics, including President Biden’s visit to Israel, Hamas’s disinformation campaign, the threat posed by Iran, and the future of the informational war between Israel and Hamas. Rubio also shared his thoughts on Vice President Kamala Harris’s response to pro-Hamas college students, the Biden Administration’s failure to address mass migration, the desire to negotiate with Iran, and the threats posed by China, Russia, and Iran. Additionally, Rubio expressed concerns about the readiness of the U.S. military and discussed the struggle to select a speaker in the House of Representatives.

Regarding President Biden’s visit to Israel, Rubio emphasized the importance of the U.S. showing its commitment to Israel's security. He stated, "I think it’s important that Israel’s enemies see that the U.S. is committed, and that a U.S. president is there to show that commitment." Rubio also expressed the need for the president to articulate the situation more effectively, as it is not just a war on the ground with rockets being fired.

Rubio highlighted the disinformation campaign being waged by Hamas and the negative impact it has on the media's reporting. He pointed out that the source of false information about Israel striking a hospital was the Hamas-controlled Gaza health ministry. He stated, "It has real consequences... Everyone needs to be responsible here when they report information from this Hamas health ministry."

The Senator also criticized Vice President Harris’s response to pro-Hamas college students, stating that she was not prepared to be vice president and lacked qualification for the position. He expressed disappointment in her meandering answer and failure to firmly condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization.

Rubio discussed the future of the informational war between Israel and Hamas, noting that the reporting will likely pivot to focus on propaganda against Israel. He urged people to be critical of media outlets that sympathize with Hamas and selectively report facts to fit their narrative.

On the issue of mass migration, Rubio criticized the Biden Administration for allowing open border policies that harm national security. He argued that no country can sustain mass migration and highlighted the potential risks of criminals and terrorists entering the country.

Regarding negotiations with Iran, Rubio expressed skepticism, stating that Iran's regime seeks the destruction of Westerners and Jews. He criticized the administration's belief that a deal can be reached with Iran, emphasizing that Iran is not like other countries and has apocalyptic visions.

Rubio discussed the threats posed by China, Russia, and Iran, ranking Beijing as the greatest threat due to its economic and military power. He emphasized the need to deal with the current reality and the importance of protecting U.S. national interests in the face of these threats.

Expressing concerns about the readiness of the U.S. military, Rubio emphasized the need to prepare for conflicts beyond counterterrorism. He stressed the importance of having the right equipment, numbers, and weaponry to engage in conflicts with great power threats.

Lastly, Rubio addressed the struggle to select a speaker in the House of Representatives, stating that it could lead to a government shutdown if not resolved soon. He expressed hope that the issue would be resolved promptly so that the government can get back to work.

In his interview with The Hugh Hewitt Show, Senator Marco Rubio provided insight into various critical issues, including the situation in the Middle East, the challenges posed by Hamas and Iran, and the readiness of the U.S. military. Rubio's analysis shed light on the complexities of these issues and raised important questions about national security and foreign policy.
