U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) recently appeared on Fox News Live to discuss his request for the Biden Administration to cancel and rescind visas for foreign nationals who endorse or espouse terrorist activity. Specifically, Rubio called for the revocation of visas for individuals who support Hamas and its actions against the state of Israel.
Rubio emphasized that this request is based on existing U.S. law, which deems individuals inadmissible under a visa if they are supporters of a designated terrorist group. He highlighted the recent demonstrations in the United States where people marched, calling for intifada and celebrating Hamas. According to Rubio, these individuals are supporters of Hamas and should not be allowed to remain in the country.
"These are supporters of Hamas. Those people who are here on a visa – to be a student, to be a professor, or whatever – need to go," Rubio stated. He further emphasized that the United States should not have foreign nationals within its borders who openly support a terrorist organization responsible for acts of violence, including the killing of innocent civilians and the taking of hostages.
Rubio also addressed the motives of pro-Hamas demonstrators, asserting that their actions have nothing to do with innocent Palestinian civilians. He claimed that these individuals are supporting the actions of Hamas, specifically the recent massacre and acts of violence against Israel. Rubio stated, "What else are they supporting? Why weren't they marching two weeks to three weeks ago?"
Furthermore, Rubio questioned the anonymity of many of these demonstrators, suggesting that they cover their faces and withhold their last names because they do not want people to know who they are. He argued that they know exactly what they are calling for and that their actions align with the propaganda and flyers distributed by Hamas.
In addition to urging the cancellation of visas, Rubio discussed his legislation to withhold funding from colleges and universities that allow pro-terrorist activity on campus. He emphasized the distinction between advocating for a two-state solution and chanting slogans like "From the river to the sea." Rubio explained that this phrase signifies the desire to eliminate Israel and establish an Islamic government named Palestine, aiming to drive every Jew out of the region.
Rubio argued that such rhetoric incites violence and that individuals do not have a First Amendment right to advocate on behalf of a terrorist organization. He expressed concern over federal taxpayer dollars subsidizing institutions where students can be further indoctrinated and then take to the streets calling for violence and the murder of Jews.
In conclusion, Senator Marco Rubio is calling on the Biden Administration to take action and revoke visas for foreign nationals who support Hamas and its terrorist activities. Rubio cited existing U.S. law and emphasized the need to prevent individuals who endorse violence and seek the elimination of Israel from remaining in the country.
