U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) is speaking out against the Biden administration's handling of the border crisis, stating that it is turning America from a land of peace and prosperity into a land of chaos and fear.

"Day by day, Biden is turning America from a land of peace and prosperity into a land of chaos and fear…. By some estimates, 3.8 million illegal immigrants have entered and stayed in the United States thanks to Biden-era policies…," said Senator Rubio.

The impact of this border crisis is being felt across the country. In border communities like Eagle Pass, Texas, residents are witnessing the transformation of their small town into what one resident describes as "a war zone." Major cities like New York are facing unbearable strains on public housing and utilities. Tragically, tens of thousands of people throughout the country are losing their lives due to fatal poisoning from synthetic opioids, often made in China.

While some Democrats blame natural disasters, climate change, corruption, down-trending economies, and political unrest across developing nations for the crisis, Senator Rubio points out that these circumstances existed during the Trump administration as well. The key difference is the lack of prioritization of the interests of the United States and its citizens by the Biden administration.

"This is unfair not just to us but to our children and grandchildren…. If we are on the leading edge of mass migration from the Global South to the Global North, we need to set a good precedent now," said Senator Rubio.

In order to address this crisis, Senator Rubio emphasizes the need for substantive policy changes that prevent the executive branch from using taxpayer dollars to traffic illegal migrants into the country. Simply spending more money on the border is not enough.

"Ultimately, it is up to all Americans to elect a government that aligns with their values. This is how we will make a real difference on the border and improve the lives of hardworking citizens," concluded Senator Rubio.
