Mayor Lenny Curry announced the recipients of the Mayor’s Strategic Partnerships Initiative Award. This award recognizes partnerships that have transformed the relationship between sectors and led to measurable benefits for low-and moderate-income individuals and families. Jacksonville is excited to honor three local initiatives that have made significant impact in our community.

“Congratulations to our awardees for creating innovate solutions and developing strategic partnerships,” said Mayor Lenny Curry. “Nonprofits play a critical role in the vibrance of a community, and the City of Jacksonville is proud to partner with these nonprofit agencies to create better outcomes for Duval County residents. By strengthening the connection among cross-sector partners, our community is better able to address complex community issues and leverage opportunities for all.”

Awardees are selected by an independent jury panel and presented annually to three Jacksonville partnerships for completed or ongoing initiatives that are executed in collaboration with community partners including philanthropy and local, state, or federal government. This year’s awardees:

Don’t Miss A Beat (DMAB) – DMAB Community Art Center Initiative

Duval Safety Net Collaborative – JaxCareConnect Initiative

Early Learning Coalition of Duval - No Kid Hungry Birth to Five Initiative

This award highlights the power of collective impact that can be achieved through strategic partnerships. These organizations have created cross-sector partnerships to increase the quality of life for the most vulnerable in our community by investing in efforts within the following community goals areas: equitable and shared prosperity, quality education, health and wellness, and food security and nutrition.
