On Thursday, October 27, 2022, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6600 block of Commonwealth Avenue in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 34-year-old white male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was subsequently pronounced deceased on scene by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department personnel.
Members of JSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene Units, as well as our partners from the State Attorney’s Office all responded to conduct their respective investigations. Based on a review of all available evidence collected at the scene and later analyzed, multiple persons of interest were identified as being involved in the crime.
Multiple interviews were conducted by Homicide Team #4 Detectives and the first of two suspects responsible for the victim’s death was identified as Cameron Juarez Davis (Black/Male 21). As a result, a warrant was obtained for the suspect, and he was located and arrested for Murder for the shooting death of the suspect as well as Robbery.
A second suspect was also identified during the investigation and a warrant was obtained for Kijean Fitzgerald John (Black/Male 20). He was ultimately located and arrested for Murder and Armed Robbery.
