Dolphins Finish Fifth on Day Two at the Edisto Island Invitational

Four members of Jacksonville University women's golf are in the top-35 after the second round of the Edisto Island Invitational on Monday afternoon.

The team is currently fifth out of 14 teams in the invitational at the The Plantation Course at Edisto. The Dolphins finished the round in the top three in both pars and birdies.

Susana Olivares is T9 with a second round score of 74. She finished the day with nine pars, which brings her total to 22 pars after two rounds. She finished the round T2 on Par 3s, as well as T7 on Par 4s. She is also T3 in birdies with seven.

Casey Powell shot a 72 on the day, which places her T16 after the second round of play. She is currently T5 on Par 4s, as well as being T4 on Par 5s. She finished the day with 13 pars. She is T4 totaling 24 pars over the two days. She is also T5 in birdies with five.

Ivete Rodrigues had another strong performance. She finished the day T16 adding nine pars and shooting 72. She is T5 on Par 3s, T8 on Par 4s, and T4 on Par 5s

Ashley Huffman ended the day with a score of 75, which has put her T34. She also made 14 pars. She is currently T5 on Par 4s, as well as T4 on Par 5s.

Jenna Fonda, who is competing at the event as an individual, shot 72 on the day. She is T27, as well as finishing T4 on Par 5s.

The team has another quick turnaround as they get back into action tomorrow morning for the final day of the Edisto Island Invitational.
