Women’s Soccer Versus Middle Tennessee Declared No Contest

The Jacksonville University women's soccer contest was declared a no contest, after continual inclement weather in the area.

 

The matchup with the Blue Raiders served as the home opener for the Dolphins in the 2022 campaign. With the score tied at 2, inclement weather entered the area with 24:12 remaining in the contest.

 

In the fourth minute of the contest, Beyonce Robinson slipped past a defender, scoring the 'Phins first goal of the game in the bottom right corner. Just over a minute later, Middle Tennessee answered off a rebound to tie the contest at 1-all.

 

In the 15th minute, Middle Tennessee took their first lead of the game, scoring on a penalty kick by Manon Lebargy.

 

A few moments later, Selma Fohrer would knot the match again, scoring in the 18th minute.

 

The score would remain the same, until both teams were taken off the field, with less than 25 minutes remaining in the match.

 

The Dolphins hit the field again this Friday, traveling to Alabama A&M for a 7 PM matchup.
