Jacksonville volleyball head coach Maggie Couture was named one of five former student-athletes to be inducted into the Belmont Athletic Hall of Fame, it was announced Monday morning.
A three-time all-conference selection, Couture led Belmont to the 2011 Atlantic Sun Championship, on her way to being named the ASUN Player of the Year and AVCA All-South Region, only the second player in program history to collect such honors, as well as being selected as the ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Her 511 kills and 4.62 kills per set rank in the top-10 all-time in ASUN conference history. Maggie recorded 1,558 career kills in her time at Belmont, which ranks sixth all-time in ASUN history. For her efforts during her career, Maggie was named to the conference's 2010-19 All-Decade Team.
