The U.S. Department of State awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to four University of North Florida students. The goal of the Gilman Scholarship is to give American students with high financial needs the important experience of accessing diverse languages and cultures.
The recent UNF awardees include:
- Darryn Bone, UNF junior double majoring in international business and management through the Coggin College of Business (CCB), was awarded $4,000 through the Gilman scholarship and will be studying at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea in the fall.
- Priscilla Jerome, a junior biology major in the College of Arts and Sciences (COAS), was awarded $5,000 to study at the Audencia Business School in Nantes, France this summer.
- Morganne Percevault, a sophomore international business major in CCB, was awarded $5,000 to study at the KEDGE Business School in Marseille, France as a dual degree student from fall 2022 to spring 2024.
- Olivia Mertin, a freshman music major in COAS, received $5,000 to participate in a faculty-led program to Italy and Slovenia this spring.
