City of Daytona Beach recently issued the following announcement.
A Daytona Beach, Fla., business, Florida’s Tree Surgeons, solicited tree-removal and tree-cutting business door-to-door in Atlantic Beach in early March without the requisite permit. This is a violation of City of Atlantic Beach code.
If you were solicited door-to-door (in-person or with door hangers/flyers) by Florida’s Tree Surgeons and are willing to provide details to the City, including but not limited to doorbell camera footage, please email us at info@coab.us. Documentation of the company’s door-to-door solicitation may be used in official City of Atlantic Beach complaints, including to the International Society of Arboriculture.
City administrators discussed the code violations with the company owner on multiple occasions, and instructed him to discontinue the practice. The City Manager advised the owner that the company could be fined/cited for each individual violation of the City’s code up to $500.
