City of Neptune Beach issued the following announcement on Nov. 9.
The City of Neptune Beach will be celebrating the 90th Anniversary of becoming a City on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20. “Movies with the Mayor” kicks off the festivities Friday in Jarboe Park at 5 p.m. showing, “E.T.”
Saturday, Nov. 20, food trucks, classic car show, birthday cake, and music begins at 3 p.m. To enhance the celebration, the city wants 50+year residents to be acknowledged as part of the celebration. All longtime and multi-generational residents are asked to come. The city would also like to ask residents for any photos they have from the 1930’s to 1950’s.
Any Neptune Beach “Resident Pioneers” who wish to participate can contact Leslie Lyne at dsc@nbfl.us with their story.
