The Edward Waters Women's Volleyball squad picked up their fourth consecutive victory on Tuesday evening with a convincing 3-0 straight set win over crosstown rival Trinity
Baptist at tha Adams-Jenkins Complex.
The Lady Tigers (19-7) never trailed in the contest and made quick work of the visitors from Jacksonville's Westside. For the match, Edward Waters hit an impressive .360, while
holding TBC to -.083.
Without the services of freshman Saldy Amparo Smith, EWU was paced by freshman middle blocker Catherine Richards with a game-high 10 kills on the night. Senior Katarina
Ribar had a season high eight kills, while sophomore Caytlin Willis had seven and both juniors Arielly De Souza and Audrianna Jones had five kills apiece for the Lady Tigers.
Senior Andrea Diaz Merced had an impressive 29 assists on the night to go long with eight digs.
Senior Anyssa Guzman had 16 digs, followed by De Souza with 11 for EWU.
Edward Waters will turn their attentions to the 2021 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship starting this Friday in Nashville. The Lady Tigers will enter the
tournament as the #4 seed and will face #5 seed Tougaloo in the first round at 12:00pm EST/11:00am CST.
