University of North Florida issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.
A presidential search committee has been formed to assist in the search for the president of UNF. The committee is comprised of 15 broadly representative members from diverse industries and fields, including University faculty, alumni, and community leaders.
The search committee will follow the guidelines set forth by the Florida Board of Governors regarding presidential searches and will be chaired by Board of Trustees Vice Chair Paul McElroy.

Selma Besirevic, President of UNF Student Government Association, UNF Board of Trustees

W. Travis Cummings, Vice President of The Bailey Group, former member of the Florida House of Representatives
Jill Davis, attorney and community leader, UNF Board of Trustees
Chuck Ged, CEO of Environmental Labs, UNF alum and President of UNF Foundation Board of Trustees
Dr. Lakshmi Goel, UNF professor and Associate Dean of Coggin College of Business
Ann Hicks, UNF alumna and member of UNF Foundation Board
Dr. Susan Perez, UNF professor in College of Arts and Sciences and interim Associate Vice President of Undergraduate Studies
Dr. Toby Sando, UNF professor in College of Computing, Engineering and Construction
Kent Stermon, COO of Total Military Management, Member of the Florida Board of Governors

All meetings of the search committee will be open to the public and there will be multiple opportunities for engagement throughout this search process.
