City of Jacksonville issued the following announcement on Sept. 7.
The Senior Services Division will be hosting a program honoring the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks for members of the RSVP, Foster Grandparent and Independent Living Program on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
The program will begin at 11 a.m. at WJCT (100 Festival Park Ave. – 32202). The keynote speaker, Capt. Herbert Hadley, served aboard the USS Halyburton and Philippine Sea. The event is by invitation only, but it will be live streamed to all senior centers. Please call (904) 255-5400 for more information.
