University of North Florida issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.

The University of North Florida is ranked in the 2022 ‘Best in the Southeast’ list by The Princeton Review for the 13th consecutive year.

Only 143 colleges and universities in 12 Southeastern states made the “Best in the Southeast” list. The Princeton Review selected its list based on data collected from its survey of thousands of currently enrolled students and administrators, staff visits to the schools and the perspectives of college counselors and advisors whose opinions the company solicits.

“This ranking signifies UNF’s position as a leading academic institution that delivers a high-quality academic experience and produces highly skilled talent for our region and beyond,” said UNF President David Szymanski.

UNF students surveyed shared that “students get an excellent education, for a terrifically low tuition, by knowledgeable and caring instructors” and students feel prepared “for opportunities in the professional world.”

In addition, students shared that UNF “accommodates a wide variety of students, from those interested in out-of-class activities to serious research scholars.” Many students raved about the “personal experience” at UNF, where “small size and scholarship offers make me feel like I really matter,” and “you’re not a number, you’re a person.”

Many students touted the inclusive atmosphere at UNF, saying that “everyone seems to be tolerant of each other regardless of how they look, what their race or ethnicity is.” Another student noted that “cultural diversity seems to be celebrated by students and faculty,” and that “students can feel free to be themselves and express themselves accordingly.”

The Princeton Review is a leading tutoring, test prep, and college admission services company. Every year, it helps millions of college and graduate school bound students achieve their education and career goals through online and in-person courses delivered by a network of more than 4,000 teachers and tutors, online resources, and its more than 150 print and digital books published by Penguin Random House.
