HOW IT HAPPENED

After an early feeling out period for the two teams the contest settled into a battle between a defensive minded North Florida squad and an attacking, opportunistic South Florida lineup

North Florida saw a scoring opportunity just minutes later when Ariana Munoz collected a loose ball just outside the box and launched a shot towards the goal that was stopped by a diving USF keeper

The Bulls took several more shots in the opening half, holding a 12-1 edge in shots, but were unable to get one past Osprey netminder Mercedes Sapp and a stout defensive back line

UNF made the quick start out of intermission getting another scoring attempt just four minutes in as Jess Camken blasted a shot from the top left of the box that forced a save from the South Florida goalkeeper

USF had a pair of shots hit the crossbar and another sail just wide of the post in the second half

Sapp swatted away a point blank shot attempt midway through the first overtime period to maintain her clean sheet in the net

The Ospreys turned back three consecutive corner kicks by the Bulls in the closing minutes of the first extra session
