City of Atlantic Beach issued the following announcement.
ABOUT FRIDAY’S GARBAGE COLLECTION ... Reminder to Atlantic Beach residents: Garbage and recycling collection routes are pushed back by one day when Thanksgiving and Christmas fall on a scheduled collection day. So, this week, if your normal collection day is Friday (Christmas Day), you will be serviced Saturday.
ABOUT DISPOSING OF YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE ... Throwing away your “real” Christmas tree? Please put it by the curb to be picked up on your collection day. Please remove all tinsel, ornaments, and tree bags. And please do not put Christmas trees on the beach; trees are no longer used for dune restoration on Jacksonville’s beaches.
