Cost of college went up for all students at Jacksonville University

Tuition and fees rose 4 percent for 2018-19 at Jacksonville University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Florida students paid $36,670 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,410 more than the $35,260 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 558 students received grants or scholarships totaling $16.9 million and 352 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.5 million.

Including all undergraduates (4,213), 2,162 students used grants or scholarships totaling $50.1 million, and 1,396 students took out $10.4 million in federal student loans.
