90 percent of applicants to Jacksonville University were admitted for fall 2018

At Jacksonville University, 66 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Jacksonville enrolled 4,213 students in fall 2018, including 2,920 in undergraduate and 1,293 in graduate programs, data shows. 12 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

48 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 45 percent are residents of other states. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (52 percent) and Black or African American (20 percent).

The school admitted 90 percent of the 4,298 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 16 percent enrolled.
