The 30th Annual St. Johns River Celebration is set to take place with various cleanup sites across Jacksonville. The event will be held at different locations, including Arlington, Urban/Riverside Avondale, San Marco, Springfield, Southeast, Southwest, Northwest, and Northeast areas.

Participants are encouraged to join without the need for advance registration. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult. Trash bags and gloves will be provided on-site to facilitate the cleanup efforts. Additionally, community service certificates will be available for students who participate.

Dan Durbec can provide more information or assist with registration inquiries at (904) 255-8276.

Following the cleanup activities, a volunteer appreciation event will take place at the Riverside Arts Market from noon until 2 p.m., where refreshments and T-shirts (while supplies last) will be distributed to participants as a token of gratitude for their contributions.

Locations such as the Arlington Lions Club Park and Boone Park North are among those designated for this environmental effort. Participants should note that times vary slightly depending on location; however, most cleanups are scheduled between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.

This annual event underscores community engagement in preserving local natural resources while fostering a sense of civic responsibility among participants.
