Today, Senator Rick Scott will bring Edmundo González, recognized by some as Venezuela's rightful president, to attend President Donald Trump's inauguration.

According to Scott, González was elected under María Corina Machado's leadership and represents hope for those suffering under Nicolás Maduro's regime.

Scott criticized Maduro, saying he "deprives the Venezuelan people of their rightful leader," while threatening the United States and holding Americans hostage. He emphasized that "the United States will hold Maduro accountable" for these actions.
