The City of Jacksonville is set to host its annual Light Boat Parade, an event that brings the community together in celebration. Mayor Donna Deegan emphasized the significance of this tradition, stating, “Jacksonville thrives when we come together as one community. The Light Boat Parade is not only a festive tradition for our community, but also a celebration of unity and connection. I hope everyone will join us for an unforgettable night as we illuminate our beautiful river and create memories that will last a lifetime.”

The parade route starts at the west end of the Shipyards, proceeds along the Northbank, turns south before reaching the Acosta Bridge, and continues east along the Southbank. Spectators can enjoy various entertainment options from locations such as Friendship Fountain.

Free public parking will be available at two main locations: the DCPS Building on Prudential Drive and Kings Avenue Parking Garage on Kings Avenue. Additionally, downtown parking meters are free during weekends. Limited ADA-accessible parking near Friendship Fountain ensures accessibility for all attendees.

Further details about the event can be found at www.jaxlightboatparade.com.

The City of Jacksonville's Office of Sports and Entertainment plays a key role in organizing events like these. This division focuses on attracting events that drive economic impact while enhancing cultural engagement for both visitors and residents in Northeast Florida.
