Following the destructive path of Hurricane Helene through northwest Florida, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio visited Citrus County to meet with local officials and volunteers. The senator also engaged with small business owners affected by the storm.
During his visit, Senator Rubio met with Crystal River Mayor Joe Meek. He toured Backwater Fins, a family-owned restaurant that experienced flooding due to the hurricane. Additionally, he listened to small business owners who were impacted by the natural disaster.
Senator Rubio expressed gratitude towards local volunteers and heard from Citrus County residents about their experiences following Hurricane Helene.
