Senator Rick Scott, along with Senators Roger Marshall and Tommy Tuberville, has called for increased protective resources for President Donald Trump following a second assassination attempt. The incident occurred in West Palm Beach, Florida on September 15th.

In a letter addressed to acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe, the senators are demanding that President Trump receive the same level of protection as President Biden and Vice President Harris. They also seek explanations regarding the Secret Service's failure to allocate sufficient resources to Trump's security detail.

"This is the second failed attempt on President Trump’s life over the past two months," stated Senator Scott. He further criticized the Secret Service for not addressing security lapses that led to an earlier incident in Butler County, PA on July 13th. "Nor has anyone been fired for the top-down mistakes that were made," he added.

Joining Senators Scott, Marshall, and Tuberville in this call are Senators James Risch, Mike Lee, Marco Rubio, Bill Cassidy, and Bill Hagerty.
