WASHINGTON, D.C. — As part of Senator Rick Scott’s weekly update on actions addressing America's debt crisis and rising inflation, following the Bureau of Economic Analysis’ Core PCE Report showing June prices paid by consumers for goods and services increased 2.6% over the year, Senator Scott released a statement highlighting perceived failures of Bidenomics and what he terms "Harris Price Hikes" resulting from the Biden-Harris administration’s tax-and-spend agenda. According to Senator Scott, inflation has risen more than 20% since the current administration took office.

Senator Rick Scott stated, “The Biden-Harris administration’s handling of the economy continues to be a massive failure wreaking havoc and bringing hardship on Florida families. Every day, the American Dream moves further out of reach, and hardworking Americans are feeling the consequences of the Harris Price Hikes everywhere—from the grocery store to paying rent to filling up their cars to get to work. The failures of Bidenomics and the pain caused by Harris Price Hikes mean small businesses are being forced to close, Americans are having to take on multiple jobs to make ends meet, and even seniors are coming out of retirement because they cannot afford not to work. A once affordable life is becoming unattainable for so many families. The Biden-Harris administration has proven to be a total disaster for all Americans and it’s time for a change in Washington.”

Since being elected to the U.S. Senate, Senator Scott has repeatedly urged action to address America’s debt crisis and the harmful effects of inflation.
