Cooling centers are available at various City of Jacksonville (COJ) facilities, which include all COJ public libraries, community centers, pools, and splash pads. These facilities will operate during their typical hours.

Additionally, free transportation to cooling centers will be provided by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) on designated heat emergency days. Riders must inform bus drivers that they are traveling to a cooling center to receive free fare. By offering free rides, JTA aims to remove transportation barriers, allowing more community members to access the cooling centers and stay cool and safe.
