For the second time this season, the Edward Waters men's volleyball squad traveled to face the Saints of Limestone University. Unfortunately for the Tigers, as was the case in their first meeting, they fell 3-0 (21-25, 20-25, 21-25) in a non-conference match on Wednesday evening at the Timken Center.
Edward Waters (6-3, 3-0 SIAC) stayed stride for stride with Limestone (9-8), but could not get over the hump, falling in straight sets to the Saints. For the match, Limestone hit .302 on 43 kills to .186 on 26 for the Purple & Orange. The Tigers also recorded four service aces and seven total blocks in the match as well.
Kaelen Ingram led the way for EWU offensively with 12 kills in the match, while Evens Edouard had seven kills, including four service aces, two blocks, and three digs. Jhoan Capellan, in his most extended action of the season, led the way for the Tigers with 12 assists and four total digs.
Edward Waters will return to SIAC action on Friday in Columbia, S. C. against the Tigers of Benedict College with first serve set for 6:00pm at the HRC Arena.
