61 percent of applicants to the University of North Florida were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of North Florida, 80 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Jacksonville enrolled 16,776 students in fall 2018, including 14,583 in undergraduate and 2,193 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

96 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 3 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).

The school admitted 61 percent of the 14,330 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
