Graduates earn 235 degrees, certificates from the Sunstate Academy-Jones Technical Institute

About 39.2 percent of the 235 degrees and certificates handed out by the Sunstate Academy-Jones Technical Institute in 2017-18 were to students in transportation and materials moving programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Jacksonville conferred 92 certificates in transportation and materials moving programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in truck and bus driver/commercial vehicle operator and instructor. Data shows the school gave out 92 certificates in truck and bus driver/commercial vehicle operator and instructor, followed by 72 associate's degrees in diesel mechanics technology/technician and 71 associate's degrees in automotive engineering technology/technician.

The institute enrolled 307 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
