Brian Dawkins, born October 13, 1973, NFL Hall of Famer

Brian Dawkins was born on October 13, 1973, in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended William M. Raines High School, where he excelled in both football and basketball. Dawkins played college football at Clemson University, earning All-ACC honors. He was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 1996 NFL Draft. Over a 16-season career, Dawkins played 224 games, recording 37 interceptions, 36 forced fumbles, and 26 sacks. He was named to nine Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams. Dawkins was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018. After retiring, he returned to the Eagles as an executive of football operations for player development. In 2018, the Eagles won Super Bowl LII during his tenure. Dawkins’ legacy is honored in Jacksonville, where he is celebrated as one of the city’s greatest athletes.
